He got the knife laws changed in my state, and now I can own his new knife!
You already know I’m talking about Doug Ritter, a survival specialist and knife designer turned Knife Rights advocate and designer of the legendary “Ritter Grip”, now the RSK Mk1, made by Hogue.
Ritter is a frequent guest on The Knife Junkie podcast, filling in viewers on the status of various legal cases nationwide in the works with his KnifeRights.org. The organization has gotten outdated knife laws changed in over 30 states and keeps pushing forward, even in New York, New Jersey, and California.
Ritter’s RSK Mk1 (Ritter Survival Knife Mark One) was designed around the super-useful, broad drop point blade profile, ground high and flat out of a pricey super steel but housed in a relatively small handle.
When Benchmade was RSK’s OEM, the limited-run knife gained legendary, even grail status, but when the company stopped all OEM production, Doug was left looking for an OEM.
Since Hogue started manufacturing the RSK Mk1, the knife has seen tremendous popularity and love from users and collectors alike.
The RSK comes in many colorways and configurations; there is a full-size version, a mini version, and now an automatic version, which is unbelievably sweet! I am grateful to Doug for his part in changing the automatic knife laws in Virginia in time for me to buy his new Auto RSK Mk 1.
If your local knife laws allow it, I highly recommend it.
To buy the Auto RKS Mk1 or any Ritter/Hogue knife, go to Knifeworks.com as they are dealer exclusives and not available brand new anywhere else.
This is a great way to support Doug Ritter so that he can keep fighting the good fight!
