Become a Gentleman Junkie on Patreon by September 19, and you will be glad you did!!
I normally don’t go for the hard sell, but in this case it’s for a good cause — your knife collection.
Mike from Northern Knives recently asked me if I wanted to do another Gentleman Junkie giveaway.
Let me back up. Several months back, Mike sent me a titanium EDC prybar anodized by knife/graphic designer Paul Munko and his company Colorful Filth.
Ordinarily, I am not impressed by EDC prybars. But this one, festooned by Colorful Filth with a space/horror/sci-fi theme anodized illustrations, blew me away. The precision of the graphics and the saturation of the colors and the overall quality of the production, put this prybar in a different category.
Of course I told Mike, “Hell Yes!” to another giveaway, but what he sent exceeded all expectations.
This piece is another collaboration with Colorful Filth, but this time the canvas is a titanium and 20CV Demko Knives AD20.5 with the Sharkfoot blade.
Illustrated on the show side of the handle (in this case both are “show” sides) is a steampunk scuba diver caught between a massive great white shark and a giant squid.
On the clip side is an anodized illustration of an old school diving bell descending into a deep water trench. Spooky and dazzlingly colored at the same time.
When you open the appropriately chosen Sharkfoot blade, you see blue Cerakoted 20CV with tiny little white bubbles peppering the surface.
Colorful Filth and Northern Knives took the eerie underwater theme all the way with this knife — and it could be yours, by joining Patreon at the Gentleman Junkie tier of support by Sept. 19, 2024, when we give the knife away at 10 p.m. Eastern on Thursday Night Knives on YouTube.
This will be a hard one to box up and ship out!
