It’s alive… ALIVE!!!
Sorry, I mean Live. THE NoVA-1 PREORDER IS LIVE!!!
Let me back up. In case you haven’t heard me talking excitedly and incessantly about my new collaboration knife with ABS Journeyman Bladesmith Matt Chase of Hogtooth Knives, the quick-and-dirty is this: I designed a Bowie blade to fit on his already popular EDC Tanto model.
You see I’ve been EDCing that Tanto for several years now and even though I have plenty in my collection to choose from, I always come back to it for its ease of carry, robust usefulness and utter charm. So why not, I figured, offer other blade shapes in limited runs? Matt loved the idea and here we are offering our first model, the NoVA-1 custom EDC fixed blade.
The NoVA-1 – named after the uptight area of Virginia right outside D.C. – has 3.5” 154CM blade that evokes the spirit of the traditional Bowie, delivering effortless cutting and thrusting performance with its hollow ground main edge and zero-ground swedge. The slight recurve adds to cutting efficiency while allowing for years of use and sharpening focused at the belly. NoVA-1 features polished deep burgundy linen micarta handle scales with forest green liners.
The Kydex sheath is a taco style, minimizing the overall footprint of the NoVA-1 and creating snappy, rattle-free retention of the knife. A thumb wave on the sheath aids in the discreet removal of the blade and the Discreet Carry Concepts clip keeps the sheath firmly anchored where you put it.
Clip the NoVA-1 to your pocket or waistband and know you have it covered, from cutting string and cardboard to defending life and limb. Each knife is hand made by Matt Chase in Massachusetts, USA, where he proudly makes knives at the forge and the grinder from 100% USA materials.
The NoVA-1 EDC Bowie Knife, carry a sharp piece of history with you every day.
