Hogtooth Collaboration (No. 1)
Exciting things are happening with knives and The Knife Junkie Podcast ...
Hey knife junkie. It’s been a while, but I’ve got exciting news to share!
I made a call to my buddy Matt Chase of Hogtooth Knives with an idea for a collaboration with the Knife Junkie Podcast, and he dug it.
Since leaving the Marine Corps. as a Scout/Sniper 20 years ago, Matt has been forging knives professionally. He is the (now) Journeyman Smith that made my famous half-hundred birthday knife, an exquisite Loveless Sub-hilt fighter, sporting a beautiful double-edged pattern Damascus blade and stag sub-hilt handle, which lives in an amazing, corseted leather sheath also of his making. My most prized knife next to the first one my grandpa gave me as a squirt.
Custom Bowies, hunters, combat, and kitchen knives are all on offer by Hogtooth, but so are more easily produced and purchased knives, like the EDC fixed blade tanto I am always talking about on the podcast and showing off on YouTube. In my opinion, it is one of the two best EDC fixed blades for IWB carry, ever. The tanto blade is hollow ground and wicked sharp 154CM and would be equally suited to self-defense as it is extremely useful for EDC.
But I want other blade styles on this outstanding platform…
So, Matt and I have decided to partner up to make that happen — for me and for you!
We will be producing a very small run of serial numbered knives built on the Hogtooth EDC fixed blade platform, and featuring my Bowie blade design.
Each knife will feature the Hogtooth maker’s mark and the Knife Junkie logo — and if junkies such as yourself buy them up, we will make more with different blade shapes.
More to come on this in the coming weeks. In the meantime, thanks for watching, thanks for listening, and keep your eyes peeled!
