#givethegirlthesticker
Okay, here’s the situation. My daughters are sticker junkies, as many kids are, and over the years they have made off with some of my coolest knife stickers. That’s fine, I have the knives after all, what do I need the stickers for?
My daily coffee vessel is festooned with stickers, my car wears a few proudly curated knife stickers but beyond that, the cache of stickers I have build through years of Knife Junkiedom have gone unstuck and will probably remain so.
At this point my daughters can have any damned sticker they want, except the ones they cannot have.
With every new Jack Wolf Knife comes a new theme and a sticker. The sticker is part of the whole package, including the tube, the pog, the cleaning cloth and the leather pocket slip. The JWK artwork is always super-cool and the stickers are amazing (for stickers), but amazing or not, they are part of the whole glorious package and necessary for resale.
So, am I ridiculous for withholding my Jack Wolf Knife stickers and denying said stickers their destiny (being stuck on a 7th grader’s notebook)?
Am I placing more value on a complete JWK package languishing in dark storage over the joy of my daughter?
I’ve had people in the comments call me a curmudgeon and a stingy one at that… #givethegirlthesticker has even been suggested as a social shaming campaign to force my hand!
But what would you do? Maintain the “full value” of your JWK on the way-off-chance you decide to sell it on the secondary market, or make your offspring happy for one fleeting instant?
Let me know… I need the help!
