And in the blink of an eye your last change to carry a bit of history on the daily has come.
That’s right ladies and gentlemen, the NoVA-1 preorder is coming to a close, this Friday, March 31, 2023 at midnight.
The NoVA-1 is my collaboration knife with Matt Chase of Hogtooth Knives. It’s based on Matt’s popular EDC Tanto platform (a favorite of mine for its easy of carry) and features my Bowie blade design.
The NoVA-1 has a 3.5 inch hollow ground 154CM blade, slightly recurved to ensure great cutting, slicing and slashing as well as a perfect Bowie profile through years of use and sharpening. The burgundy linen micarta handle is perfectly sized and shaped for most hands and featuring a finger groove, milled Anzo-style channels and a rounded pommel for comfort in use and carry.
I have been carrying the prototype for a few months now, every day, and though it is nearly perfect to me, there will be a few changes made for the limited production run:
The Knife Junkie logo will be smaller to fit on the flat of the blade.
The 1-inch run of jimping will be moved forward for better thumb engagement.
The liners will be a forest green.
Each will be serial numbered.

Matt Chase / Hogtooth Knives makes everything in the USA from all American parts and materials, which to me, adds to its value — especially as a Bowie knife.
