It all came together so beautifully, if I were small enough, I’d move in…
On these school projects and dioramas, which I take very seriously, it’s all about the textured spray paint. Give me Styrofoam, the Off-Grid Knives* Cleaver V2 and a can of textured spray paint and I will build you any one of the world’s monuments, dwelling places, or natural landmarks.
I am that good because I am that experienced. I wish I could turn School Project Builder/Contractor into a side hustle.
With the Pueblo finished, my wife insisted we add some color, so my daughter drew out a Pueblo blanket and glued it to the roof as if drying in the sun. Also glued to the roof were little strips of dried cranberry, cut in an annoying and sticky process with the OGCV2 and arranged as if elk meat drying in the sun. I am not sure if the Pueblo Indians dry meat on their roofs, but if not, I will claim artistic license.
This Pueblo is another one for the books, another overly large, barely wieldy, mostly parent-made school project for my daughter to claim authorship of. I am going to miss doing these when my youngest ages out of model-based school projects, they are fun to do, great bonding time with my girls and a convenient opportunity to show them proper knife and cutting technique.
Check out the Pueblo (minus elk meat and rug on roof) and my little builder with her current favorite folder!
Also, let me know if you have any use for a freelance School Project Builder/Contractor ... I just might know a guy.
Bob
